| The Department of Defense's height-weight screening table establishes an upper limit of 27.5 and lower limit of 25. Because inappropriately strict weight home standards may impair military readiness, no Service shall set more stringent screening weight than those corresponding to a body mass index of 25. Height and Weight Measurements Height Measurement will be taken with Service member in any uniform or standard physical training home uniform or gym clothing. Shoes will not be worn. Service member will stand on a flat surface with the head held horizontal home looking directly forward, with the line of vision horizontal, and the chin parallel to the floor.
