I first discovered fat acceptance a few yrs back, I was very zealous about it, proselytizing it to every fat person I knew. I even called one friend in Northern Ireland, whom I'd last seen in 1982. She was very heavy. Anyway, she told me she never felt the need fat asses for anything like that, that in NI fat ppl don't have much trouble. fat asses She said her late husband had married her when she fat asses was quite big, no one ever gave her issues over it. My mom died of lung cancer at 70, and she was never REALLY "fat". She was 5'4" and weighed about 150-160 lbs. at her heaviest. When she passed away in June 1991, she was even thinner than she was when she got married (she was 118 lbs. back then, 100-110 lbs. when she died).
