| And numbers are skewed & exaggerated, & meaningless. As Disraeli said, there are three kinds of lies...lies, damn lies, & statistics. This "war on fat" doesn't have a damn thing to do with health. As Paul says, we are healthier overall & living longer than ever before. My own fat belly girls fat relatives have lived to between 85 & 101; they didn't listen fat belly girls well to threats. All of this is about prejudice, the need to fat belly girls have someone to use as a scapegoat, &, most of all, it is about money. It is very hard to make money off people who believe that they are good enough as they are. And I think that I will skip reading MeFi, thank you very much. I really don't need that.
