A Diet Grows in Brooklyn Brooklyn has gone fatties com ahead and started its borough-wide diet program, imaginatively titled "Lighten Up Brooklyn". It was heart-warming to read that some protesters showed, replacing traditional scales with scales that gave positive fatties com messages, instead. The cool thing is that those protesters wrote about their experience on the web - and even have a great counter-campaign going, called "Love Your Body Now, Brooklyn!" That type of attitude is refreshing and positive - as opposed to Borough President Marty Markovitz's "weigh stations" located throughout Brooklyn. Of course, when asked about the Love Your Body protesters, the politician retorted: Markowitz says he agrees.
