There seems to be this reaction every time some company responds to the needs of larger people. First Lane Bryant was encouraging people to be fatty j's fat, now making comfortable carseats is a hardship fatties are forcing on Ford. Right. I suppose those DVD players fatty j's they put in cars are forced on fatty j's Frod by America's love of TV and not their own desire to sell cars. I find it particularly interesting that this article is poking fun at large "American bums." The reason many european cars don't have to make this adjustment isn't because we Americans have more "junk in the trunk"; it's because european carmakers already make more confortable seats (and have for years). And of course, all fat people are fat because they ate too much over the holidays. Is there anyone else here who remembers the "good old days" of automobile seats,when they were all nice, roomy bench seats with plenty of leg room, instead of these bucket seats where even the shortest person winds up with their knees around their chin?
