Being fat is not a choice for most of us, & I find it ironic that she would say so in response to this specific article, since the writer talks about living on 1,000 calories fatty acid per day, which, if calories in really equaled calories out in pure mathematic rhythm would mean fatty acid that she was starving herself to death & should weigh less than 100 pounds instead of 200. We are indeed only asking to be treated with the same respect & given the same legal rights, medical care, etc., as thin people. We are not asking to be crowned queens & kings & carried around on pillows & honored as superior beings. Fat hatred is incredibly tenacious & the ignorance about fat/health/genetics/metabolism/eating habits, etc. |
